MRS Meeting Bursaries

The MRS is committed to supporting early career researchers. To this end, we will provide financial support to present work at both international and national* meetings (USD500 and USD300, respectively). Both poster and oral presentations can be supported.

Application deadlines are typically in March and September with evaluation performed by the MRS board.

The primary criteria for evaluation are the significance of the research, its alignment with the MRS mission, and the likely impact of support on the researcher’s career.

We encourage applications from diverse backgrounds with special consideration for candidates from under-represented countries and communities.

To apply, you must:

• Be a current MRS member in one of the associate member or trainee categories
• Have an abstract accepted for in person** (oral or poster) presentation at a meeting
• Send the abstract with proof of acceptance, a one-page letter outlining your motivation for applying, a one-page letter of support from your PI, and your CV to info@metastasis-research.org

If awarded, the MRS will promote your presentation and we ask that you acknowledge the MRS support. Funds will be paid after the meeting upon receipt of proof of attendance.

* A national meeting is defined as one being held in the same country as the applicants institution.

** online attendance will be considered for those in emerging economies without the financial resource for in person attendance.
